Karl On the Theory of the Decades to the Harvard Economics Undergraduate Association March 2022
Some key ideas:
1. Theory of the decades -
20s - get your base education
30s - Matching and Hatching
40s - Stretching into your prime
50s - Hitting the ball out of the park
60s - giving back and using your crystallized intelligence
2. A Masters is the new bachelors students tell me
3. 3 things you get from a degree 1. Brand 2. Network 3 learning
4. Older people almost always love mentoring young people - this is a human truth almost without exception - and they can become champions for your career
5. Be a Reverse Mentor - 25% of the time, I am less wise than someone my age 20 years ago and the half life of my wisdom is less than it use to be, mentor me!
6. Managing Upward
7. You are a Harvard person - act like an introvert

Problems can be complex while solutions are simple although not always apparent to those within a system.
Intriguing points and still relevant in today's organizational frameworks
Thank you, and mention Indonesia :)
For some reason this man thinks that government can do better. When the evidence shows that it always does worse. He reminds me of these pointy headed intellectuals that know so much more about how things should be run and how the government should be the one to do so. The Population Bomb by Paul Ehrlich is a perfect example of a book and a person who are the living example of this. Ehrlich stated that by the 80s we would be starving and have so few resources it would be a disaster. He was wrong on so many fronts and he has never admitted it. Just like him, Adler is wrong intellectually and morally, and just like him Adler probably will never admit it…
i think this guy is on to something. balance between community, business, and government. But i think the answer is even simpler. Respect. respect for all relations. respect for the earth, respect for your fellow human being, respect for yourself. great video
Great Tips by Adam Grant. Purpose usually means helping others and receiving acknowledgement/appreciation energizes people. Thanks David Lee for linking to this.

A Time When You Think Not Who could have known to face a sudden almighty calamity or a crisis of civil unrest that becomes environmental mess? "When the panic attack arrives like impending disaster; From where is your answer?? The reply almost the same habitual usual attitude: Every man or woman to save their selfish selves." At that moment is the prime time to acquire and apply rare quality wisdom. This is not about basic common sense; But rather a sharper mind and heart to be smart. Please read 'The Kingdom Of English Wisdom.' At present available out now!! "To conclude: Be prepared for the unexpected; A time when you think not, then you! Might be got and your lot." Another dimension of the professor. He is one of the critical thinkers who can see with things much more clearly than most of his contemporaries. He "successfully" challenged the very foundation of MBA as known to the so called best universities. Now he is targeting the most neglected topic. He is again on the "DOT"
100% agree with the whole "leadership" nonsense
i just wanna know why people disliked this video. whats wrong with it?
It’s probably the kids who believe that leaders are gonna take them to promised land 😂😂😂

What has changed on Management from 30 years ago? Nothing! Management is the same all through and it is not something that can be updated or be done in other ways! It is still and will always be Management!! My take home today...
Guerrilla style photographer! I love the 4:35 mark where it looks like he almost fell over. The whole thing made me feel like I was creeping around behind these two men while they talked.
Would you like a glass of water
Aggressive Stalking
I like the comment about integration of management and leadership and enjoy he chose to title it managing. It was funny when he referenced puking with the term leadership because of the way it is marketed. I like the commentary about flaws. It was funny when he said you can learn a person's flaws by marrying them or working for them. I wish performance reviews incorporated subordinate opinions, there would be less corruption and political ploys. It was sobering to hear him say make about flaws and weaknesses to first make sure you don't work for a company that undermines you.
Аз съм влюбена в много генерали, интересувам се от генерали от различни страни, но генерал General Dempsey е най-Прекрасният сред тях. ОБОЖАВАМ неговата личност!
Сега, ако си тука, щете вкарам в казармата, каза General Martin Dempsey. LOVE
Why does the speaker say that “teams” are disappearing? >Stable bounded teams are less in evidence as teaming and the related skills become more numerous Which of the following does the speaker suggest as skills that become more important as teaming increases? Choose all that apply. >Learning to quickly relate to new people >Learning how to share our knowledge with others who do not share our background How does the speaker suggest that one quickly build trust within a new team? Choose all that apply. >Exhibit genuine curiosity about the others on the team >Self-disclose
ПОЗНАВАМ ВИ General Martin Dempsey. Бяхте много честен човек.

thank you
WoW!! great Video.

Thanks Andre, for being so authentic As well as talented
The difference between teams and teaming is a bit too cute I think; rather it is the end of the project that drives new ways of work, reducing work structures to very small units that become part of a flow of work. I am interested by the idea that we can manufacture teaming or teams through openness and curiosity but I would like to hear some examples of that. My observation would be that these types of values work with teams for specific short term critical objectives rather than for long term value delivery.
Good
Like always, the west sees meaning in India and we are busy running behind their tails!!!
Very helpful ideas
Completely agree - unchecked power is dangerous.... its a corporate dictatorship of a sort.
This is true, I do all these things and I can see on people's faces; why is he doing this? But I don't really say anything..... I kinda walk away like nothing happened lol
As an introvert, I found this video fascinating. Thanks for sharing!
What a load of BS. Typical "woa is me people" (always placing blame on anyone, but themselves) are often generous and work well in groups. Adam's system will automatically shut out brilliant intellectuals simply because they naturally use "I and me" more often than "us and we". It's no surprise considering his gross misunderstanding of the MBTI typology ( from "Goodbye to MBTI"). Anyone who types INTJ one time and then types ESFP a few weeks later, hasn't the intellectual honesty, or understanding of what drives people and how they differ. He blames the MBTI system (which is very accurate, albeit with some flaws like most every system)for being inaccuracy, when the fault lies in his own intellectual dishonesty, due to his dominant"feeling" cognitive function. Feeling change, so it's no surprise that emotionally driven people will get result as dynamic as their ever changing emotions. He most certainly isn't an INTJ, otherwise he would have known that he was in fact an INTJ, with little to no confusion. His ideas lack logic. For instance he condemns a 16 type personality breakdown as being too vague and then demonstrates support for a 5 type breakdown, which is clearly to broad for any real meaning.
